The evolution of drive systems in the area of micromobility – solutions for modern urban transport systems.

Micromobility is an increasingly important component of a modern, integrated and sustainable urban transport system. Vehicles such as electric scooters, bicycles, scooters or light quadricycles are becoming not only an alternative to traditional means of transport, but also an integral element of urban mobility infrastructure. The article reviews the development of drive technologies used in micromobility and presents current trends in the development of drive systems used in this sector - with particular emphasis on technical, energy and environmental aspects. It discusses, among others, progress in miniaturization, integration and increasing the efficiency of drive systems, as well as the development of solutions such as hub drives, energy recuperation or intelligent energy management systems. In the context of sustainable development, the possibilities of recovery and recycling, energy efficiency and the impact of micromobility on reducing pollutant emissions in the urban environment were also analyzed. The article also presents examples of implementations and global trends, which show that micromobility has not only technological but also social potential, as an important component of the future of urban transport.
