The analysis of the use of hydrogen in commercial vehicles

The article first presents general current trends in the field of power sources for heavy duty vehicles (HDV) and non-road mobile machinery (NRMM). The next part of the paper focuses on selected examples from the city bus and rail vehicle sectors. The article attempts to capture solutions in the research/design phase as well as post-production and implementation (operation). In the context of the obtained vehicle/rolling stock availability indicators, the maintenance facilities and activities (current assessment of technical condition and restoring serviceability) are important. Therefore, in addition to use, aspects related to vehicle maintenance areas are also outlined. In addition, the paper analyzes methods for increasing the amount of compressed hydrogen gas in tanks.
