3D visualization of transport processes

The problem of modeling transport processes concerns both technical, technological and organizational aspects. In each of these areas there are decision problems that the solution must take into account a great number of constraints and recommendations in choosing a way of carrying out the transport process. Decision-making and design problems in these areas are considered in both single-criterion and multi-criterion terms. The elements of the theory of graphs, linear programming, game theory and operational research are used most often to analyze the transport processes in warehouses. More and more attention is paid to the application in the design of multi-criteria decision support processes. In the analysis, optimization and improvement of transport processes, simulations and heuristic algorithms are also widely used.
The transport process model allows for the analysis of the entire process as well as the partial transport processes, and consequently the development of important criteria for evaluating the operation of the system used in the design of storage facilities.
The paper presents a tool for 3D modeling and visualization of warehouse objects, which enables the creation of warehouse models and the analysis of transport and storage processes taking place in these facilities. The work was realized within the framework of the SIMMAG3D project. The main aim of this project is to develop a system for 3D modeling and visualization of storage facilities.
